A great quirky beach getaway

We loved everything about this retro cottage. It is a 2minute walk to a beautiful beach. The house had everything we needed for 2 families. The 3 bathrooms and the outdoor shower were a bonus! The pet friendly and safe garden showed the owners had a real appreciation of what travelling with your pets mean. The dogs and their owners loved walking on the beach.

Great house for dogs and humans. Loads of bathrooms even on in the backyard. The verandahs were brilliant. The front one is enclosed for the dogs and has beautiful morning sun to have breakfast in. It is also enclosed. The backyard verandah is huge with a gray bbq. Big backyard for the dogs. Well equipped. So quiet and peaceful, with access to the beach a couple of houses away. Woolworths is a plus in town, highly recommend this property. Also clean an quirky which is fun. Thankyou for a great stay.

Great fun. A relaxed place to stay within walking distance from the beach and yet within easy reach of shops. Our dogs appreciated the well fenced yard, plenty of room to spread out and we really made use of the outside bath/shower.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Life’s A Beach. The beach was only five houses away on a very quiet street, the house was very comfortable and we enjoyed the large deck with BBQ. There was also a large safe yard for our dog.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The location was pretty good with the beach only 100 metres away. Decent size backyarď for our dog. Showers were good and good wifi connection. As a suggestion, the house could do with some flyscreens so doors can be open to let the breeze in as it gets quite warm. Couldnt open the doors due to alot of insects and a few spiders coming in.

One of the best beachside stays we have ever had. From the fab retro look to the outside shower (one of three!) it just ticked all the boxes. Dog loved the big back yard and the fireplace at night. I loved the beach was so close and the outside shower (did I mention that?) and the better half had the best sleep in ages. Five stars for a great stay, great facillities and pet friendly. Will be staying again.

The property has a large enclosed grassy backyard, which is great for playing frisbee and keeping dog happy. It also has a lovely big deck with large table and chairs to relax on. The house is quiet and very close to beautiful dog-friendly beach. Three bathrooms, one of which is an outdoor bath and shower, exposed to the sky but screened. Great selection of films to choose from. Only drawback was the beds were a little short and lumpy.

This was a great holiday house. It is close to the beach, fully equipped with wet weather activities and had all the necessary features required for a comfortable stay. Our dogs were well contained. They were happy to play in the backyard with toys supplied (our toys were not interesting enough!). The beach was dog friendly and clean. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Loved our stay at this gorgeous beach cottage with its fun retro vibe – 1950s flair but with all mod cons! The garden is beautiful and the outdoor bath is perfect after a day on the beach which is just at the end of the street… Its lovely and quiet, spotlessly clean and really well equipped with everything you need for a relaxing beach break. We will definitely be planning another visit in the future.

we are regulars to lives a beach, we love its loud colourful comfortable feel. the out door shower, the board games the great collection of posters and plates. its a stroll to the beach and our kelpie loves a good surf and run. the fenced yard is great and if we leave her alone feel save she will be there on our return.

The atmosphere is quirky but everything is comfortable. For tall people the double beds are a bit short but otherwise comfortable. The yard is secure and peaceful, the walk to the beach takes 5 minutes down the cul-de-sac and onto the path. The whole experience was very dog friendly. There were a lot of mossies this year, but we found that closing the windows when we turned on the lights, and keeping the ceiling fans going kept them away at night.

What was apparent to us was the generosity of the owners- all the thoughtful touches that made our stay enjoyable: the mini Christmas tree, the kitchen tools and basic items like soy sauce, theme decorated rooms, quality linen on the beds and fabulous era style, we loved it all. The only thing missing is a frangipani tree or two in the manicured garden. Great holiday vibe.

A wonderful holiday home for both the family and dogs. The fittings and furniture brought back so many very happy childhood memories. The welcome gifts were very much appreciated and everything you could need was provided for the dogs who enjoyed the large and safe yard. The beach being so close was a real treat. Just returned home from a week at this gorgeous beach house, what a treat it was! ‘Life’s a Beach’ cottage truly felt like home, with that extra something special of stepping back in time when life wasn’t quite so complicated. Although our sharpeis Boo & Zsa Zsa didn’t quite take to the water as we had hoped (they live in the bush when not on holiday!), our kids adored being so close to the beach, collecting shells and riding the waves. A lovingly restored house in a most picturesque setting; one couldn’t ask for more when looking for holiday accommodation. The kind of place that inspires a sea change!

It was a wonderful break at lifes a beach, 80 metres from the beach, a great house,very well equipped and the champagne for the humans and dog treats for the four legged people are a great touch. The back yard is huge complete with a basket of dogs toys. We had a great time and look forward to returning.
